In the lobby of most of their facilities was a chair, a counter, a phone list taped to the wall, and a logbook. Visitor orientation was inconsistent and undocumented. The presence of an open logbook and employee phone list created privacy concerns for both visitors and employees. The internal phone system was tricky to use and reception didn’t always necessarily reach an employee on the other end when their visitor arrived. The phone list was full of handwritten employee names and extensions, some of which had long since been crossed out.

Where would I put the LobbyFox kiosk?

Generally, our customers place their LobbyFox Check-In Kiosk just inside the main lobby in their office. However, for larger facilities, our customers often have LobbyFox Kiosks at every entrance. Because each kiosk can be customized for specific types of visitors, a kiosk in your front office can be tailored to check in visiting executives, your customers, or vendors, while a kiosk in your shipping and receiving area can be tailored to check in truck drivers or contractors. LobbyFox is offered in a number of configurations; as a free-standing kiosk, a kiosk that can be placed on a countertop, or even a version that can be mounted to your wall.

How does LobbyFox work?

The LobbyFox check-in kiosk couldn’t be easier to use. When a visitor arrives at your facility, the kiosk instructs them to check in by using the touchscreen. LobbyFox asks them who they are, who they’re with, who they’re there to see, and what the nature of their visit is. At that point, a name badge is automatically printed for the guest, and their host (the employee they’re there to see) is notified via email, text, or both that they have a visitor in the lobby.
